Terms for Randolph County Property Records

These terms apply when you use Randolph County Property Records. By continuing to use the reference, you agree to these conditions. Do not use it if you do not accept them.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Randolph County Property Records is privately operated and provides descriptions and links to public deed, tax, assessment and parcel sources. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with Randolph County, West Virginia, a court, the County Clerk, Assessor or Sheriff.

2. Use Must Be Lawful

Use this reference and linked results only for lawful purposes. You may not use the information or service to:

  • Stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate or injure a person
  • Carry out deed fraud, identity theft or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Copy or republish large portions of the site's text or design
  • Disrupt the site's operation or attempt to defeat its security

3. No Consumer Reports

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither this reference nor a linked search result is a consumer report. Do not use it to make an eligibility decision covered by the FCRA, including credit, employment, housing or insurance decisions.

4. No Title, Survey or Legal Opinion

A Randolph County property-records lookup does not establish clear title, mark a legal boundary or provide legal advice. Consult a title company about title, a licensed surveyor about land lines and an attorney about legal rights. This site cannot replace their work.

5. Outside Services

County and state portals, libraries, courts and third-party search providers set their own terms and privacy rules. The operator does not control their content, charges, uptime or handling of submitted information.

6. No Promise of Accuracy or Availability

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a detail is accurate, complete or current, or that an outside portal will remain available or return a correct result.

7. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from use of the site or a linked resource, including an action taken in reliance on a record found there.

8. Responsibility for Misuse

You agree to protect the site operators from claims or demands, including reasonable attorney fees, that result from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

9. Site Materials

Copyright protects the original writing, design, logo and layout. You may link to a page or quote a short passage with attribution. Republishing a complete page or copying material systematically is not permitted.

10. Revisions

The operator may revise these terms by posting an updated copy on this page. Continued use after that change means you accept the revision.

11. West Virginia Law and Public Records

West Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The state's Freedom of Information Act is W. Va. Code §§29B-1-1 through 29B-1-7. Under §29B-1-3, a request for a public record must describe the information with reasonable specificity, and the custodian must respond within the statutory period. That law governs public agencies; it does not turn this private reference into a government records custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
